The group was formed alongside fellow Polish musicians Michał Sczcerba and Maciek Miernik, and has since featured an ever-changing lineup of European musicians. Despite the shifting roster, Marek has remained the core member, present in every single recording. His weapon of choice? King Poyaviack pays homage to the legendary British progressive rock band, King Crimson, and their name itself is a playful twist on a made-up Polish word loosely meaning “King of Appearances.” Their genre-defying performances have included gigs at iconic venues like CBGBs in Manhattan, where they built a loyal following of fans drawn to their unique approach to music.
